VA employee faces charges for allegedly hacking police union website

Since November, the St. Louis County Police Association's website has featured an error message, and the man believed to be responsible will be in federal court in St. Louis on Thursday.

Federal court papers state that Justin Payne, an employee of the Veteran's Administration, sent a computer program to take down and damage the police union website SLCPA.org around the time of the Darren Wilson Grand Jury announcement.

A police source said Payne might be linked to the group RBG Black Rebels out of St. Louis, a group which is reportedly behind the offer of a reward for information on the whereabouts of Darren Wilson.

Sources told News 4 the federal investigation may not stop at the misdemeanor charge facing Payne.
